Somewhere inside
There’s a cauldron
Stewing, simmering, splatting.
Hotter than hell on a cloudless day
But small
And tucked away.
Deep inside
There’s a cauldron
Fuelled by ignorance and lies
Feeding on news and noiseless nonsense
Yet hungry
Bottomless pit
Beyond the heart
There’s a cauldron
Spawning soulless minions
Who burn a path seeking to surface
Held back
Their energy grows
Stuffed down
There’s a cauldron
Growing hotter by the minute
And the minions, they are exploding
Breaking down
Walls that hold them
Can’t you see?
There’s a cauldron
Refusing platitudes and disguise
Minions burst forth, shout out a war cry
Standing up
Proclaiming the cauldron
Yes!
There is a cauldron
Yes!
There is a cauldron
Deep, deep within.
The fire so hot,
The fuel piled high.
It cannot contain what’s inside.
The minions come warning
The fire is roaring
The cauldron’s bubbling boiling.
Stand back
Watch out
As the cauldron sputtering, splattering
SPLITS
The content burns though the veins
The vat never to be fixed.
